American Artists Professional League First Annual Juried Open Online Exhibition 2026 July 31 – September 30, 2026 “Philly Special” featured in this exhibition Awarded Top Prize, “Best In Show” As per the award juror, esteemed artist and teacher Neil Slaughter, “Of all the images viewed, this was the most unique painting in the entire exhibit. It was also the largest piece in the exhibit and the most ambitious. Measuring three feet by six feet, the entire composition consisted of a very detailed oil painting based on a very complicated collage with a unified theme in which every object depicted in striking detail was/is based on Philadelphia PA. Although the very eclectic objects orchestrated in the composition created an overall abstraction when viewed from afar, upon close inspection, each aspect of every piece was handled very realistically from baseball players to Philly-food to banners and a plethora of other eye catching “stuff”.
